Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and powertrains. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems. Repair or replace components such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), wheel alignments, and diesel engines. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive repair tools safely and efficiently. Perform routine vehicle maintenance including oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid replacements. Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards while maintaining high-quality workmanship. Assist with auto estimating processes by accurately assessing repair needs for insurance claims or customer quotes. Stay updated on the latest automotive technology trends such as ADAS calibration and electrical system diagnostics. Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with customers about their vehicle's condition and repairs needed. Experience Proven dealership or service center experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic. Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, transmissions, powertrains, and diesel engine repair. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics software and schematics interpretation. Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar makes is preferred but not required. Demonstrated ability to work with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair machinery. Service technician experience in performing vehicle maintenance and repairs efficiently under deadlines. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients. Auto estimating experience is a plus for assessing repair costs accurately.
