Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and automotive service. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicle systems, ensuring that all work is performed to the highest standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including oil changes, brake services, and tire rotations. Diagnose vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and equipment, including power tools and hand tools. Interpret schematics to understand vehicle systems and components for effective troubleshooting. Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems or necessary repairs. Repair or replace defective parts using welding techniques when necessary. Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Maintain accurate records of all services performed on vehicles for customer reference. Collaborate with service technicians to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery. Skills Proficient in using power tools and hand tools for automotive repair tasks. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to transmit technical information effectively. Experience in vehicle maintenance and automotive service practices. Familiarity with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) is a plus. Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers. Qualifications Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive maintenance and repairs Proficiency in using automotive diagnostic tools, hand tools, and standard powertrain/suspension repair techniques Experience with oil changes, fluid replacement, vehicle inspections, and scheduled maintenance; capable of customer communication and service up-selling Familiarity with ADAS, braking systems, transmissions, and alignment; basic welding and schematic interpretation is a plus Prior service technician or dealership experience preferred; valid technician certifications a plus
