Our fleet includes walking floor trailers, live-bottom trailers, tippers, transfer trailers, and related equipment that play a critical role in moving materials throughout Oregon. If you're someone who enjoys solving mechanical problems, fabricating repairs the right way, and takes pride in safe, dependable equipment, we'd like to meet you. What You'll Do Diagnose and repair trailer mechanical issues Perform structural trailer repairs and fabrication Aluminum welding and repairs on trailers and components Repair walking floor systems, hydraulic components, and tipper equipment Replace floors, crossmembers, sidewalls, suspension, brakes, hubs, bearings, and air systems Perform preventative maintenance and inspections Complete DOT Annual Inspections Ensure trailers meet all FMCSA and DOT safety requirements Document repairs and inspections accurately Work with operations to minimize equipment downtime Preferred Experience 3+ years of heavy trailer mechanic experience Strong aluminum welding experience (MIG required) Experience repairing: Walking Floor trailers Live Bottom trailers Tipper trailers Transfer trailers Hydraulic systems Air brake systems Suspension systems Experience performing DOT Annual Inspections Ability to read repair manuals and troubleshoot mechanical problems CDL is a plus but not required What We're Looking For Positive attitude Self-motivated Quality workmanship Strong troubleshooting ability Dependable attendance Safety-first mindset Pride in doing the job right the first time We Offer Competitive hourly wage based on experience Overtime opportunities Full-time, year-round employment Medical, dental, and vision benefits 401(k) with company match Paid holidays and PTO Modern equipment and a growing fleet Stable, family-owned company with long-term career opportunities Why Wheat LLC?
