We are a dealership group and distribution business for an innovative manufacturer of refrigerated, dry freight, and flatbed trailers. We remain at the core value of the world's largest producer of refrigerated trailers, and one of the largest overall trailer manufacturers in the United States. Role Summary The Refrigeration Technician requires an experienced Transport Refrigeration Unit (TRU) professional with high levels of energy and initiative, deep understanding of service processes, go-getter attitude, great leadership skills, and cross-team collaboration. To be successful in this role, you must have a customer-first approach, with a strong communication skillset, and be able to thrive in ambiguous and energetic environments. Duties and Responsibilities Install and set up refrigeration systems in refrigerated trucks and containers. Perform routine maintenance on refrigeration systems, including cleaning, lubrication, and inspection of components. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues. Perform system performance checks and adjustments to ensure optimal cooling capacity and energy efficiency. Conduct system performance tests to evaluate temperature control, pressure levels, and overall system functionality. Interpret and analyze data from temperature and pressure monitoring devices to ensure proper operation. Document all maintenance, repairs, and service activities accurately and thoroughly. Prepare service reports and provide recommendations for repairs or system upgrades. Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment required for maintenance and repairs. Qualifications 1-2 years of commercial equipment repair and maintenance experience. (preferred) Automotive Technical skills ok. Ability to have a direct impact on scalability in a complex organization. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Outstanding planning and organizational skills with a focus on operational excellence. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated high-level administrative experience, including advanced computer skills, preferred. Ability to perform duties with a high level of professionalism, flexibility, discretion, judgment, diplomacy, and tact. Ability to see, read and interpret documents such as governmental regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions or schematics. Able and flexible to travel as needed. Experience working in start-up environments preferred.
