Want to learn a skilled trade and build a career in the automotive industry? C. Harper Chevrolet / Cadillac is looking for a motivated Autobody Repair Apprentice to join our collision repair team in Belle Vernon. This is an opportunity to learn collision repair by actually doing it . You'll work alongside experienced Autobody Technicians while learning vehicle disassembly and reassembly, body repair, panel replacement, surface preparation, computerized vehicle scanning, repair blueprinting and proper collision-repair procedures. You don't need to be a master technician. You need mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic and the willingness to learn.

THIS IS MORE THAN JUST AN ENTRY-LEVEL JOB.

This apprenticeship is designed to develop you into a professional Autobody Repair Technician . You'll receive hands-on experience while learning skills that can build the foundation for a long-term career in collision repair. You'll learn: Vehicle disassembly and reassembly Dent repair Basic bodywork Panel removal and replacement Sanding and surface preparation Grinding Masking Paint preparation Collision repair procedures Repair blueprinting Pre-repair vehicle scanning Post-repair vehicle scanning Tool and equipment operation Shop safety procedures Vehicle detailing Quality-control procedures

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Assist experienced Autobody Technicians with collision repairs Help disassemble damaged vehicles Assist with proper vehicle reassembly Prepare surfaces for body repairs and refinishing Sand, grind, mask and clean vehicle surfaces Learn basic dent repair techniques Assist with damaged panel replacement Learn proper body-repair procedures Safely operate hand and power tools Assist Body Technicians and Estimators with repair blueprinting Perform pre-repair vehicle scans Perform post-repair vehicle scans Organize removed parts during the repair process Assist with moving vehicles throughout the facility Clean and detail vehicles following completed repairs Inspect tools and equipment Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow OSHA and company safety procedures Complete assigned training objectives Communicate repair progress with supervisors and team members Learn professional collision-repair standards and procedures

COLLISION SCHOOL OR AUTOMOTIVE EXPERIENCE?

EVEN BETTER. Previous professional experience is not the only path into this opportunity . Candidates with experience or education in: Automotive collision-repair programs Autobody school Vocational or technical school Automotive technology programs Automotive detailing Mechanical repair Vehicle restoration Paint preparation Welding or fabrication Other hands-on mechanical trades are strongly encouraged to apply.

NO YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO BUILD A CAREER.

Everybody in the collision industry had to start somewhere.
