The technician will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of vehicles while providing high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and committed to staying current with evolving automotive technology. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, brake inspections, tire services, fluid checks, and scheduled maintenance. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical vehicle systems. Perform inspections and accurately identify vehicle problems and recommended repairs. Use diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and other specialized tools to troubleshoot vehicle systems. Complete repairs according to manufacturer specifications and company quality standards. Perform services involving engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, braking, exhaust, HVAC, and electrical systems. Document inspections, diagnoses, repairs, parts used, and labor performed accurately. Communicate repair findings and recommendations clearly with service advisors and customers when appropriate. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety procedures and applicable environmental regulations. Stay current with new automotive technologies, diagnostic procedures, and repair techniques. Work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality and customer satisfaction. Qualifications PA Safety Inspection License is required. Previous automotive repair experience preferred; entry-level candidates with appropriate technical training may be considered. Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills. Ability to use automotive diagnostic tools and computerized service equipment. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability to lift, move, and work with automotive components and equipment as required. Preferred Qualifications Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications. Graduation from an automotive technology or technician training program. Experience with domestic and/or import vehicles. Experience with advanced electrical and computer-controlled vehicle systems. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces for extended periods. Ability to lift and handle automotive parts, tools, and equipment. Ability to work safely around moving vehicles, machinery, chemicals, and shop equipment. Ability to work in varying temperatures and shop conditions.
