Mechanic / Equipment Technician Position Summary Rivendale Farms is seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanic / Equipment Technician to maintain, service, troubleshoot, and repair a wide variety of equipment used across the farm. This position will work with agricultural equipment, vehicles, recreational equipment, construction equipment and small engines. They will report to our farm Fleet Manager. The ideal candidate is mechanically skilled, able to diagnose problems independently, takes pride in quality work, and understands the importance of keeping equipment safe, reliable, and operational. All necessary tools for the position will be provided by the farm. Primary Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance, service, inspections, and repairs on farm equipment and vehicles. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and engine-related problems. Service and repair agricultural equipment including tractors, implements, mowers, loaders, and other farm machinery. Service and repair farm vehicles, trucks, trailers, ATVs, UTVs, and other automotive equipment. Service recreational equipment, including UTVs, ATVs, utility vehicles, and small engines. Maintain and repair construction and property-maintenance equipment. Perform oil changes, lubrication, filter changes, belt replacement, brake work, battery service, tire changes, and other preventative maintenance. Troubleshoot hydraulic systems, pumps, hoses, cylinders, and related components. Perform basic electrical diagnosis and repairs. Maintain small engines and power equipment such as generators, pressure washers, chainsaws, weed trimmers, and mowers. Conduct preventative maintenance to identify issues before equipment failures occur. Maintain accurate service and repair records for farm equipment and vehicles. Keep the shop, tools, work areas, and equipment clean and organized. Maintain an inventory of commonly used parts, fluids, filters, and supplies and communicate when replacements are needed. Respond to equipment breakdowns and prioritize repairs based on farm operational needs. Assist with seasonal preparation and storage of equipment. Perform other mechanical and farm-related duties as needed. Agricultural, automotive, diesel, construction, or small-engine experience is highly desirable. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize repairs based on operational needs. Basic understanding of hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and engine systems. Ability to read and understand equipment manuals and service information. Valid driver's license. Ability to safely operate and move various types of equipment. Welding/fabrication experience is a plus. CDL or additional equipment certifications are a plus but not required. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry parts and equipment as required. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in awkward positions for extended periods. Ability to safely work around large machinery, vehicles, livestock, and farm operations. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to time-sensitive equipment needs. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver. They should be comfortable working independently, willing to tackle a variety of equipment, and focused on completing repairs correctly and safely rather than simply getting equipment running temporarily.

Pay:

$20.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
