Fleet Mechanic ADDRESS:
651 Moon Clinton Road, Coraopolis, PA 15108 Fast Park has a fabulous opportunity for a self-starting, energetic fleet mechanic to keep our fleet of shuttle buses in perfect running condition. We are located near Pittsburg International Airport Earn $27.00-$35.00 per hour depending on skills and experience
Summary:
Perform a variety of diagnoses, repairs, and preventative maintenance on our company trucks and other equipment, including but not limited to gas and / or diesel engines, drive lines, brakes, steering, electrical, fuel system, cooling, suspension, or related systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Diagnostic and repair of all vehicle systems Knowledge and repair of OEM and auxiliary A/C systems Prioritize vehicle repair in the shop and any outsourced repairs Monitor and maintain shop tools and equipment Knowledge of diesel exhaust system components including but not limited to EGR valves and cooler, DPF system, DEF system Order parts and supplies for the shop and equipment repairs as needed Create and maintain work orders and records of repairs made on vehicles and equipment Repair and Replacement of engine, transmission, suspension components in a timely manner Efficiently and accurately perform quality repair work in accordance with factory standards. Complete Preventive service oil, lights, wipers, tires and brake systems. Follow checklist of inspection procedures Maintain an organized and clean work environment. Road-test vehicle to ensure quality repair work was completed. Communicate and create relationships with vendors, managers and other staff Maintain vehicles in a safe operating condition and, comply with all company safety policies and procedures. Strong verbal communication skills and to communicate with facility manger regarding the status of the service work as well as the estimated time for completion. Continuously learn new technical information and techniques to stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the companys values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and vendors. All other duties as assigned.

Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) Certification from a recognized automotive technical school preferred
Required Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience repairing and maintaining buses or similar heavy-duty vehicles Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in buses Experience performing preventative maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, inspections, and component replacements. Experience working with diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve mechanical issues. Experience adhering to safety regulations and procedures in a shop environment. Experience working independently and as part of a team to complete repairs efficiently and effectively. Experience maintaining accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed. Experience working with computerized diagnostic equipment and tools
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues. Proficiency in using various hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and welding equipment (if required). Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with supervisors, colleagues, and potentially passengers. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various physical positions, including bending, stooping, and kneeling. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. Commitment to safety and adherence to all relevant regulations and procedures. Willingness to learn new technologies and techniques related to bus maintenance and repair. Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area. Basic computer skills for record-keeping and accessing technical information. Comprehensive understanding of bus mechanics and repair procedures Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements preferred
