Automotive Service Advisor Thornton Automotive Dover has been a family-owned and operated business serving Central Pennsylvania since 1993. We are seeking a Service Advisor to join our growing team. Our Service Advisor is the bridge between our customers and our technicians. You'll manage the service experience from write-up to delivery — communicating clearly, building trust, and making sure every customer leaves confident in the work we did and ready to come back.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet customers, listen to service concerns, and accurately document them in the work order Recommend appropriate maintenance, repairs, and services based on vehicle history and technician findings Provide accurate repair estimates and obtain customer approvals before work begins Communicate proactively with customers on vehicle status, delays, and additional repair needs Coordinate with technicians to manage shop workflow and prioritize repair completion Follow up post-visit to ensure customer satisfaction and drive repeat business
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 2 years of service advisor experience in an automotive dealership preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills — you're the face of our service department Working knowledge of automotive systems and repair terminology Proficiency with Auto/Mate, or comparable DMS Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
