In this role, you will manage the customer experience from initial drop-off to final delivery, translating vehicle concerns into clear repair plans, building transparent estimates, and keeping shop operations moving smoothly. Key Responsibilities
Customer Care:
Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to vehicle symptoms, and accurately document concerns on repair orders.
Estimate & Sales:
Review technician diagnostic findings, prepare itemized estimates (parts and labor), and clearly present service options and priorities to customers for approval.
Workflow Coordination:
Communicate detailed job descriptions to technicians and monitor progress throughout the day to ensure promised delivery times are met.
Clear Communication:
Provide proactive updates to customers regarding repair status, extra findings, or delay notifications via phone, text, or email.
Delivery & Checkout:
Walk customers through completed work orders, explain invoice items, process payments, and ensure complete customer satisfaction before departure. Qualifications & Skills
Experience:
1-3 years of experience as a Service Advisor or Assistant Service Advisor in an independent repair shop or dealership environment.
Technical Aptitude:
Strong working knowledge of automotive systems, routine maintenance schedules, and basic diagnostic processes.
Software Skills:
Proficiency with modern Shop Management Systems (SMS) and digital inspection platforms.
Communication:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a knack for explaining complex technical repairs in simple terms.
License:
Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
