Health insurance is not currently offered We are seeking a reliable, hardworking Vehicle Maintenance Technician / Delivery Driver to join our team. This position combines professional delivery driving with hands-on maintenance of our existing vehicle fleet. The successful candidate will spend part of the workweek making deliveries to homes and businesses within designated routes and the remainder performing preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and general upkeep of company vehicles. Primary Responsibilities Vehicle Maintenance Duties Perform preventative and routine maintenance on the company's existing vehicle fleet. Conduct regular vehicle inspections and identify potential mechanical or safety issues. Perform basic diagnostics, troubleshooting, adjustments, and repairs as needed. Use appropriate diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and shop equipment. Maintain accurate and complete records of all maintenance and repairs performed. Document parts, services, inspections, and work completed on each vehicle. Communicate vehicle issues and recommended repairs to management. Help keep the maintenance area, tools, and equipment clean and organized. Perform other maintenance-related duties as required. Delivery Duties Safely and efficiently deliver a wide variety of products to homes and businesses within assigned service areas. Follow designated routes and established delivery schedules. Load, secure, transport, and unload products safely. Inspect and operate delivery vehicles in accordance with company and DOT safety requirements. Provide professional and courteous customer service. Obtain customer feedback and address or report service concerns as appropriate. Complete delivery logs, paperwork, and other required documentation accurately. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional delivery vehicle. Follow all applicable DOT regulations and company safety policies. Qualifications & Requirements Must be 21 years of age or older. Valid driver's license and a good driving record with no serious or recent traffic violations. Previous professional delivery driving experience preferred. Minimum of 2 years of vehicle maintenance experience OR a recognized vehicle maintenance certificate. Knowledge of basic vehicle systems, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repair procedures. Knowledge and ability to properly use vehicle diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and other maintenance equipment. Must provide your own professional tools necessary to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs. Candidates are responsible for providing, maintaining, and transporting their own tools. Ability to safely operate a delivery vehicle in various weather and traffic conditions. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Reliable attendance and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be able to successfully complete a DOT physical, motor vehicle record (MVR) check, and drug screening. Must be able to regularly lift and handle up to 150 pounds. Must be physically capable of loading, unloading, inspecting, and maintaining vehicles. Schedule & Hours Full-time position, 5 days per week. One weekend day is required. Additional hours may be available based on business needs. Work schedule will be divided between delivery operations and vehicle maintenance responsibilities.
