Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, and air conditioning to specification Work on a wide variety of domestic and import vehicles, not just warranty repairs Perform work outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealer and manufacturer standards Complete full automotive troubleshooting and testing Propose creative, practical, and cost-effective solutions to problems and process improvements Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a clear, non-technical manner to service advisors and customers Provide labor and time estimates for additional repairs Ensure vehicles are repaired accurately and kept clean; road test vehicles to ensure quality repair the first time Maintain a clean and organized shop environment What skills do you bring to the role? ASE certification preferred with 2-5 years of experience required State and Emissions License preferred Strong work ethic: reliable and dependable Proven track record of achieving or exceeding performance goals as an Automotive Technician/Mechanic Working knowledge of shop equipment including diagnostic tools, alignment systems, wheel and tire equipment, and A/C equipment Strong communication and customer service skills Team-oriented, flexible, and focused on delivering a high level of customer service Take pride in producing quality work the first time Professional appearance and demeanor Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment Willingness to learn and stay up to date with rapidly changing automotive technology Ability to pass pre-employment testing to include a background check, drug test, and Motor Vehicle Record; must have a valid driver's license.
