Automotive Service Technician Job Duties:

Evaluate customers' needs, working quickly and efficiently Evaluate the repairs and needs for the customers vehicle, working quickly and efficiently Master products, services and company knowledge Maintain a clean and safe workplace Test parts and systems to ensure that they are working properly Identify mechanical problems Perform basic care and maintenance, including oil changes, tune-ups, and tire rotations Repair or replace worn parts, such as brake pads and wheel bearings Disassemble and reassemble parts Use testing equipment to ensure that repairs and maintenance are effective Explain to clients their automotive problems and the repairs done on their vehicles.

Qualifications:

Must have state and emissions license Good knowledge of automobiles. Effective analytical and communication skills. Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications. Should be able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment. Detail oriented capable of a high quality repair. Minimum of 1 year in service department Enjoy working in a fast paced environment Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time Basic Computer skills Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality

Pay Range:

$25 - $40/hr flat rate based on experience and productivity
