CDL Drivers & Diesel Mechanics - Latrobe, PA Join a Growing Waste Management Team! We are hiring for two full-time positions in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. $22.00-$30.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 4:00 AM start until route completion
Hours:
Typically 8-9.5 hours per day | 40-50 hours per week What You'll Do Operate rear-load garbage trucks on residential and commercial routes Operate Front Load, Side Load (ASL), and Roll-off trucks as needed; experience is a plus Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and daily safety inspections (DVIRs) Safely navigate residential streets, alleys, and commercial areas Work with a Loader to complete routes efficiently and safely, when applicable Assist with loading when needed, including bulk and large-item pickups Operate automated and semi-automated lifting equipment Transport and dispose of waste at designated facilities Complete route sheets, work orders, dump tickets, and required documentation Communicate with dispatch and supervisors regarding delays, hazards, or service issues Identify and report damaged containers or equipment Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the assigned truck Refuel and monitor fluid levels as needed Follow all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and Life Critical Rules (LCRs) CDL Driver Requirements Valid CDL Class B or higher No air brake restriction Valid Medical Certificate Minimum 1 year of commercial motor vehicle (CMV) operating experience Clean driving record and ability to meet insurance requirements Waste industry experience preferred Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety procedures Ability to work early morning hours and outdoors Ability to work in all weather conditions Strong communication and teamwork skills Must pass a DOT physical and pre-employment screening
Diesel Mechanic Location:

$22.00-$30.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 10:00 AM-7:00 PM What You'll Do Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel trucks and heavy equipment Repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air brake systems Perform preventative maintenance, including fluid and filter changes Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform road/service calls when needed Use diagnostic software to identify and repair equipment issues Work with Cummins Insite, Mack PTT (Premium Tech Tool), DAVIE4 (PACCAR), and Meritor WABCO systems Review and complete repairs identified through Driver Inspection Reports (DRIVRs) Accurately document repairs, labor, parts, and maintenance activities Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant work environment Follow all company safety policies and procedures Communicate repair updates and equipment concerns to management Perform additional duties as assigned Diesel Mechanic Requirements Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred or ability to obtain Previous diesel or heavy-duty mechanic experience required High School Diploma or GED required Trade school training in diesel or heavy equipment technology preferred Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and air brakes Experience with diagnostic software and computerized maintenance systems preferred Waste industry experience is a plus Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
