00 per hour, based on experience Job Summary Genox Transportation is seeking an experienced Trailer Mechanic for our Malvern, Pennsylvania terminal. This position will work on both Class 8 tractors and specialized cryogenic tanker trailers, with the primary emphasis on tanker trailer maintenance and repair . The ideal candidate will be a dependable, self-motivated mechanic who is comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the day-to-day maintenance needs of the equipment assigned to the terminal. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, air brake systems, tires and wheel assemblies, electrical and lighting systems, suspension and mechanical components, and the specialized piping, valves, pumps, and auxiliary equipment found on our cryogenic tanker trailers. Previous tanker or cryogenic trailer experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with strong commercial trailer maintenance experience who are willing to learn cryogenic systems are encouraged to apply. What You'll Do Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair commercial tanker trailers Perform preventive maintenance and DOT-related inspections on tractors and trailers Diagnose and repair air brake systems Inspect and maintain tires and wheel assemblies Diagnose and repair trailer lighting, wiring, and electrical components Inspect and repair trailer mechanical and suspension components Diagnose and maintain cryogenic trailer piping, unloading valves, pumps, and related systems Diagnose and maintain diesel-powered auxiliary engines used on cryogenic trailers Assist with diagnosis and repair of product metering systems Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on Class 8 tractors as needed Inspect batteries, charging systems, starters, cables, belts, and related tractor components Diagnose and perform minor repairs to cooling systems and driveline components Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records Ensure equipment is maintained in accordance with company and DOT safety standards Follow company safety procedures and proper procedures for handling hazardous materials Perform additional maintenance duties as needed What We're Looking For Commercial trailer maintenance and repair experience Experience with air brake systems Experience performing preventive maintenance inspections Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Valid driver's license Ability to read and understand service manuals and technical information Basic computer skills Ability to provide basic mechanic hand tools Familiarity with DOT equipment requirements and out-of-service criteria preferred Ability to work independently, prioritize repairs, and follow through on maintenance needs Experience That Is a Plus Tanker trailer maintenance and repair Cryogenic tanker trailer experience Trailer piping, pumps, or valve systems Class 8 tractor maintenance DOT inspection experience Electrical diagnostic experience Welding and fabrication experience Cryogenic experience is not required. We are willing to train an experienced trailer mechanic on our specialized equipment. Physical & Work Environment Requirements This is a hands-on position performed primarily in a repair shop and outdoor environment. The position may involve exposure to varying temperatures, noise, uneven surfaces, and confined areas underneath equipment. The employee must be able to stand for extended periods; occasionally squat, kneel, climb, and work underneath tractors and trailers; and lift and carry parts, tools, valves, pumps, and other components weighing up to approximately 50 pounds.
