Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fleet Mechanic to join our comapny. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse fleet of vehicles and heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on expertise with various machinery, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior dealership experience and familiarity with heavy equipment are highly valued. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on trucks, trailers, and heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm equipment Diagnose issues using schematics, automotive diagnostics tools, and mechanical expertise Repair and replace components such as transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, shocks & struts, and diesel engines Conduct welding, soldering, and fabrication tasks as needed for equipment repair or modification Operate power tools and hand tools to complete repairs efficiently Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and parts used Assist with vehicle alignment, air brake systems maintenance, tire service, and other specialized repairs Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications Support the team in heavy lifting tasks and equipment assembly/disassembly Skills Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and farm machinery Strong knowledge of automotive repair including transmissions, electrical systems, hydraulics, suspension systems, tire service, brake repair, welding, and fabrication Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools effectively Experience with dealership or industrial equipment maintenance is preferred Skilled in the use of hand tools & power tools. Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and repair of diesel engines and heavy machinery Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and quality workmanship Customer service orientation for interactions with internal teams or external clients when necessary Physical ability for heavy lifting and working in various environmental conditions This position offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team dedicated to maintaining a reliable fleet through expert repairs and maintenance. Pay:
$28.00 - $32.00 per hour
