Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Recreational Vehicle (RV) Technician and become a vital part of delivering exceptional service and repairs for a wide range of recreational vehicles. In this energetic role, you'll diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair various systems on RVs, ensuring they are safe, reliable, and ready for adventure. Your mechanical expertise and passion for vehicle maintenance will help customers hit the road with confidence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse RV models and cutting-edge repair techniques in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on recreational vehicles, including electrical systems, engines, transmissions, suspension, HVAC, brakes, and plumbing. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacement, and vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to disassemble, repair, and assemble RV components with precision. Troubleshoot automotive electrical systems and perform soldering or wiring repairs as needed. Repair heavy equipment such as diesel engines, air brakes, and specialized RV systems while adhering to safety standards. Assist customers by explaining repairs needed and providing excellent customer service throughout the service process. Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations. Qualifications Proven dealership or automotive service technician experience with a strong background in vehicle repair. Extensive mechanical knowledge including transmissions, HVAC systems, suspension, brakes, and electrical diagnostics. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive electrical systems. Experience with automotive diagnostics software and troubleshooting complex mechanical issues. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Certification or experience in auto body repair or welding is a plus. Valid mechanic license or certification preferred; relevant training or apprenticeship considered an asset.
