Full Job Description Description:
Philly's Best Steak Company Inc. is a leading Philadelphia area meat processing facility specializing in the manufacturing of Philly-style steak products. We pride ourselves on being family-owned, providing our employees with a safe, friendly, and collaborative work environment. The PIT/Fleet Mechanic will support the warehouse and production from a PIT perspective, complete work orders, and maintain Philly's Best Steak PIT equipment overall.

Full-Time /
Non-Exempt Schedule:
5-6 days per week 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Occasionally, additional days and hours may be required to complete tasks and/or projects.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, and perform maintenance of vehicles and powered industrial equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, scissor lifts, etc. Inspect, charge, and repair batteries. Clean and wash fleet equipment. Maintain necessary records of time, materials, and parts used. Knowledge of oils, greases, and lubrication devices, and other tools and materials used in servicing equipment. Daily inspections of PIT equipment and completion of work orders. Use a variety of power and manual tools to complete required work. Perform preventative maintenance schedules and predictive maintenance audits of plant equipment. All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
General knowledge of powered industrial equipment. At a minimum 3 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic. Experience with mechanical systems (chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings). Experience with Crown equipment preferred. Knowledge of facility safety requirements. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to sit, stand, walk, crouch, squat, climb, grasp with fine motor skills for an entire shift.
