Job Description
Job Overview We are a new shop seeking a highly independent and motivated Mid-Level Automotive Technician to join our small, Used Car Sale based service team! In this role, you will perform comprehensive diagnostics, basic repairs, and basic maintenance on a variety of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety for used car dealerships. Our current client base is Appointment only. Your expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional service by accurately identifying issues and executing efficient repairs. This is mainly work for used car dealerships - you will be exposed to a variety of different kinds of vehicle problems. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about hands on work, we want to hear from you! Duties Independently conduct thorough inspections of vehicles using automotive diagnostic tools and schematics to identify mechanical and electronic issues. Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, steering components, and other vehicle systems with precision and attention to detail. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques safely to complete repairs efficiently. (Air Tools not easily accessible) Vehicle maintenance tasks, and engine repairs while adhering to safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Maintain detailed service records, complete repair reports, and communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs and vehicle status. Repair Orders and proper parts ordering is a MUST! Experience 2.5+ years proven experience as an automotive technician with dealership or independent shop background. 2.5+ years of mechanical AND hands-on knowledge of automotive engine systems, powertrain components, and vehicle maintenance procedures. 2.5+ years of hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics using advanced diagnostic tools for engine control units (ECUs) and vehicle systems. Skilled in welding techniques, and safe heavy lifting practices. Decent customer service skills combined with the ability to work highly independently in a moderately fast-paced environment.
