Job Description
Overview Emergency Support Services is seeking candidates for several wildland fire potty service driver positions. Drivers will deliver, maintain, and service portable sanitation units at remote base camps, spike camps, and incident command posts during active wildfire operations. This role ensures critical hygiene infrastructure functions safely and cleanly in harsh, fast-paced field environments.
Duties Job Overview Position Type:
Seasonal / Emergency Incident Support Key Responsibilities Position will require sleeping in a tent at fire camp for several days up to several weeks.Transport & Placement:
Drive vacuum/service trucks to deliver, position, and anchor portable toilets at designated fire camp locations.Routine Servicing:
Pump, clean, sanitize, and restock units daily according to strict health and environmental guidelines.Site Navigation:
Drive safely across unpaved forest roads, rough terrain, and congested incident command areas.Equipment Maintenance:
Perform daily pre-and post-trip vehicle inspections, monitor sanitation equipment, and report mechanical issues immediately.Camp Cooperation:
Follow all fire camp safety protocols, check-in procedures, and operational briefings.Qualifications & Requirements Valid Driver's License:
Clean Record:
Maintain a safe driving record and pass standard background/drug screenings.Physical Stamina:
Lift heavy hoses, stand for long periods, and work outdoors in extreme weather, smoke, or dust.Flexibility:
Work long, irregular shifts, adapt to rapidly changing incident locations, and travel for extended deployments.Reports To:
Supervisor and/orFacilities Unit Leader Location:
