Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately across various vehicle systems. Repair and maintain powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and drivetrain systems, ensuring optimal performance. Conduct vehicle suspension system repairs and alignments to enhance ride quality and safety. Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems effectively. Service vehicle electrical systems, including ADAS features, lighting, sensors, and wiring harnesses. Utilize hand tools and power tools skillfully to perform repairs ranging from minor adjustments to major overhauls. Maintain detailed repair records, complete auto estimating tasks accurately, and communicate findings clearly with customers. Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies such as diesel engine repair, welding techniques, and vehicle maintenance best practices. Experience Proven dealership or service shop experience as an automotive technician or mechanic. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, powertrain components, and vehicle transmission system repair. Hands-on experience with automotive wiring diagrams interpretation and troubleshooting complex electrical issues. Familiarity with ADAS technology, vehicle suspension system repair, wheel alignment procedures, and vehicle maintenance routines. Experience working on GM vehicles or similar makes is preferred but not required. Demonstrated ability to operate automotive diagnostic tools effectively and utilize technical proficiency in repairs. Service technician experience combined with auto estimating skills is highly desirable. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
