Job Description Job Description Job Description Lead Automotive Technician / Shop Foreman Cranston, Rhode Island 02920 $70,000-$90,000 annually Full-time About the Job We are looking for a Lead Automotive Technician / Shop Foreman to join our team! We are looking for someone who wants a career and not just a job. This is a hands-on leadership position. You will be responsible for helping lead and supervise our technicians, overseeing the daily workflow of the service department, and performing diagnostics and repairs on various types of vehicles. We are looking for the right person who takes pride in their work. The right person is someone who can use his/her hands as well as his/her head to lead the shop, assist other technicians with difficult diagnostics and repairs, and make sure repairs are performed correctly the first time. Responsibilities Lead, supervise, and provide guidance to technicians in the shop Help manage the daily workflow and operations of the service department Assist technicians with difficult diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs Perform diagnostics and repairs on cars and up to 1-ton trucks Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components and make repairs Perform quality inspections prior to returning vehicles to customers Help ensure repairs are completed correctly and efficiently Must be honest and reliable Must have dependable transportation to and from the shop Must have a decent driving record Must be able to use a computer and laptop Must be willing to invest in your future Applicants must have their own tools Qualifications At least 5 years of previous automotive repair and diagnostic experience Must have your own tools Must be a Master Certified ASE Technician Previous experience as an automotive mechanic/technician Leadership, Shop Foreman, or technician supervisory experience preferred Knowledge of shop equipment Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to lead and work alongside other technicians Deadline and detail-oriented Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment We Offer Friendly, easy-going family atmosphere 5-day work week - NO Saturdays, Sundays, or evenings Competitive pay plan Modern, well-equipped shop with well-maintained equipment Well-lighted work areas All the latest high-tech diagnostic tools and repair software Benefits Paid vacation Paid holidays Uniforms Unlimited continued training - on-site and online Performance bonuses Pay recognition for ASE certifications earned and RI State Inspection License Assistance with obtaining additional ASE certifications
