In this role, you will be responsible for preparing vehicle surfaces for painting by performing thorough sanding, masking, and surface cleaning to ensure a flawless finish. Your expertise in automotive surface preparation and use of hand tools, power tools, and spray guns will be essential in delivering high-quality auto refinishing results. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a passionate team dedicated to restoring vehicles to their original beauty while honing your skills in automotive painting and restoration. Responsibilities Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by sanding, grinding, and cleaning to remove old paint, rust, and imperfections. Mask off areas that should not be painted using surface preparation masking techniques to ensure clean lines and professional finishes. Use conventional spraying equipment and airless paint sprayers to apply primer, base coats, and clear coats with precision. Maintain a clean and organized work environment by properly handling hand tools, power tools, grinders, buffing machines, and spray guns. Assist in auto body repair tasks such as minor dent removal, auto glass replacement, and surface repairs as needed. Follow safety protocols including the use of respiratory protection and proper handling of paints and chemicals. Collaborate with team members on vehicle restoration projects to ensure timely completion of quality work. Qualifications Dealership experience or background in automotive body refinishing is highly preferred. Knowledge with automotive buffing, sanding, auto painting, and coating spray guns. Experience with automotive surface preparation techniques including masking, sanding, and priming. Familiarity with auto restoration processes. Ability to operate grinders, sanders, buffing machines efficiently. Strong understanding of automotive paints, coatings, and surface preparation materials. Good physical stamina for heavy lifting and working in various positions throughout the day. Excellent worth ethic and willing to work with team members. Pay:
