Job Overview We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, guiding them through their automotive service needs while ensuring a high level of satisfaction. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics and repair will be essential in providing accurate estimates and recommendations to enhance vehicle performance and safety. Duties Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their service needs. Provide detailed explanations of services required, including maintenance, repairs, and costs. Utilize your mechanical knowledge to diagnose issues and recommend appropriate solutions. Upsell additional services based on customer needs and vehicle condition. Prepare accurate service estimates and ensure all necessary parts are ordered. Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance. Maintain clear communication with customers throughout the service process. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently. Document all service activities in the system, including customer interactions and recommendations. Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and dealership policies. Qualifications Previous experience in a dealership or automotive service environment is preferred. Strong background in auto service management or as a service technician. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and vehicle maintenance practices. Experience with various automotive repairs including oil changes, brake repair, alignment, suspension work, tire service, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repair is highly desirable. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building relationships with clients. Ability to effectively upsell services while maintaining customer trust. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate auto estimating and service writing. Cash handling experience is preferred.
