Heavy Truck Painter / Body Technician Superior Paint & Body is hiring an experienced Heavy Truck Painter / Body Technician to join our team. We work on commercial trucks, fleet vehicles, trailers, and heavy-duty equipment . We need someone who can handle the job from body repair and preparation all the way through final paint and finish . Responsibilities Perform body work on heavy trucks, trailers, and commercial vehicles Repair dents, damaged panels, fiberglass, and minor metal damage Apply and shape body filler as needed Sand, feather-edge, and prepare repaired areas for refinishing Remove and install parts as necessary for proper repairs and painting Mask trucks, trailers, panels, and components Apply primer, sealer, basecoat, single-stage, and clearcoat finishes Mix paint and materials according to manufacturer specifications Paint complete truck cabs, hoods, bodies, trailers, equipment, and individual panels Perform color matching and blending Inspect completed work for proper coverage, gloss, texture, and appearance Wet sand, buff, and polish when necessary Clean and maintain spray guns, pressure pots, and paint equipment Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow proper safety procedures and PPE requirements Qualifications Experience painting heavy trucks, commercial vehicles, automotive vehicles, trailers, or industrial equipment Experience with body work and paint preparation Must understand proper sanding and surface preparation procedures Experience using DA sanders, grinders, body tools, and spray equipment Knowledge of primers, sealers, basecoat/clearcoat, and commercial paint systems Ability to produce a professional-quality finish Strong attention to detail Dependable and able to work independently Must work well with other technicians Stable employment history preferred What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience and ability 75% of employee health insurance paid by the company Paid time off Overtime available Full-time, year-round work Professional commercial truck and fleet repair environment Modern equipment and facilities Opportunity to work on a variety of heavy trucks, trailers, and equipment Schedule Monday-Friday 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Full-Time We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and understands that a quality paint job starts with proper body repair, preparation, and attention to detail .
