Job Description

Coastal Asphalt is seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Dump Truck Mechanic to join our team in Conway, SC. We are looking for a motivated technician who takes pride in quality work and is committed to keeping our fleet operating safely and efficiently. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair heavy-duty dump trucks Perform preventive maintenance and inspections Complete and document DOT inspections Troubleshoot engine, transmission, electrical, hydraulic, brake, suspension, and air systems Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship Perform welding and light fabrication repairs as needed Keep accurate service and repair records Work with the shop team to minimize equipment downtime Assist with training and mentoring other technicians as needed Qualifications Experience repairing heavy-duty diesel trucks Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Experience with Detroit, Cummins, Caterpillar engines, and Allison transmissions required Experience using OEM truck diagnostic software Dealership experience is a plus Welding and fabrication experience preferred Experience with air brake, suspension, hydraulic, and electrical systems Leadership experience is a plus Willing to work with and train other technicians CDL is a plus, but not required Must have your own basic mechanic tools Must have a clean driving record and be eligible to operate a company service truck Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Year-round, steady work In-house warranty repair work Company service truck (for qualified candidates) Factory and dealership training provided Opportunities for advancement
