Xcite Automotive is seeking an experienced Automotive Painter & Wheel/Rim Repair Technician to support our partner dealership in Hardeeville, South Carolina!
Job Description:
This is a dual-skill position requiring hands-on experience in both automotive painting/refinishing and wheel/rim repair. We are looking for a skilled technician who can perform high-quality automotive paint repairs while also repairing and refinishing damaged alloy, aluminum, and chrome wheels/rims. Compensation for this position will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and demonstrated skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform automotive paint and cosmetic repairs, including surface preparation, sanding, masking, priming, painting, blending, and clear-coating. Complete spot repairs and refinish damaged vehicle panels to achieve a high-quality finish. Inspect, repair, and refinish damaged alloy, aluminum, and chrome wheels/rims. Repair cosmetic wheel damage, including curb rash, scratches, gouges, corrosion, and other surface damage. Prepare wheels and rims for refinishing through sanding, filling, cleaning, masking, and priming. Match vehicle and wheel colors and finishes as closely as possible to OEM specifications. Safely operate paint sprayers, air tools, sanding equipment, and other automotive painting and wheel repair tools. Inspect completed repairs to ensure quality, consistency, and customer-ready results. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and properly care for tools and equipment. Communicate effectively with management and team members to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and on schedule. Follow all company, dealership, safety, environmental, and operational policies. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as an Automotive Painter, Automotive Refinisher, Paint Technician, Wheel Repair Technician, Rim Repair Technician, or Automotive Reconditioning Technician . Experience with automotive spot repair, paint blending, color matching, and clear-coat application. Experience repairing and refinishing alloy, aluminum, and chrome wheels/rims. Experience working in a dealership, automotive reconditioning center, collision center, body shop, or high-volume automotive environment. Experience using wheel straightening or specialized wheel repair equipment. I-CAR, ASE, or related automotive refinishing or collision repair certifications.
