Job Description
Job Overview JCruz Motors is looking to hire a fleet mechanic. We're a growing organization in search of a talented and experienced Fleet Mechanic to join our team. The right candidate will have strong technical skills and experience with modern vehicles and equipment. The technician is responsible for diagnosing issues, repairing vehicles as needed and keeping up with all vehicle safety standards. Previous experience in the auto industry is required. We work on multiple fleets, and mostly provide preventative maintenance to medium and light duty trucks, including some diesels as well. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including oil changes, brake replacements, and tire rotations. Diagnose and troubleshoot automotive issues using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment. Repair and replace faulty components in automotive electrical systems, ensuring proper functionality. Work with power tools and hand tools to perform repairs efficiently and safely. Interpret schematics and technical manuals to understand vehicle systems and repair procedures. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service requests while maintaining high-quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency. Good communication with customers Skills Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques. Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems and powertrain components. Experience with automotive service practices, including repair methodologies for various vehicle makes and models. Familiarity with using power tools and hand tools effectively in an automotive setting. Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical documents, and service manuals. Previous experience working in an automotive environment. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work performed. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers. Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve.
