HIRING FOR BOTH LOCATION 1603 HWY 17 S UNIT D NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC 29582 AND 1657 PLAZA PLACE MYRTLE BEACH, SC 29577 POSITION SUMMARY
The Service Advisor/ Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the automotive repair department while serving as the primary connection between customers, techincians, parts suppliers, and upper management. This positions combines customer service, sales, scheduling, employee supervision, quality control, and shop management. The service Advisor / Management is responsible for ensuring repairs are completed correctly and efficiently, customers receive excellent service, technicians remain producible, and the repair department operates safely and profitably. Crete complete and accurate repair orders Prepare estimates including parts, labor, taxes, shop supplies, and applicable fees Explain recommended repairs and maintenance to customers in understandable terms Obtain customer authorization before beginning repairs or performing additional work Document all approved and declined repairs Oversee the daily operations of the service and repair department Supervise technicians and other repair department employees Assign daily work based on technician skill, level, workload, and job requirment. Review technician finding and recomdations Verify repairs have been completed according to the repair order. Determine the cause of repeat repairs and take appropriate corrective action Ensure customers vehicles are aware of any unresolved saftely or repair concerns Assist with locating, pricing and ordering parts Assist with warranty parts and defective- part claims Maintain relationships with parts vendors and suppliers Educate customers about preventative maintenance ensure employees follow all shop safety procedures Required Skills & Qualifications Automotive service advisor, service writer, technician, or automotive management experienced Strong understanding of automotive repair and preventative maintenance strong customer service and sales abilities ability to communicate mechanical problems and repairs in terms customer can understand leadership and employee management skills ability to make decisions and solve problems in a fast paced enviroment ability to manage multiple vehicles, technicians, customers, and deadline simultaneously Vaild driver's license and acceptable driving record
Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
