Job Summary:
A tanker trailer mechanic diagnoses, repairs, and maintains tanker trailers, ensuring their safe and efficient operation. They focus on systems such as brakes, hydraulics, and electrical components, and adhere to DOT standards.
Job Description:
Identify and fix mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on tanker trailers. Perform routine maintenance, such as inspections. Repair or replace components of the trailer's systems. Ensure that trailers meet DOT standards and regulations. Maintain accurate records of all work performed. Communicate with customers or managers regarding repairs and maintenance. Perform welding and fabrication work as necessary.
Competencies:
Some experience with tanker trailers and a diesel background is a plus.
Job Requirements:
Willing to comply with all OSHA safety standards Good communication skills Familiar with all necessary safety equipment Physically capable of working in demanding conditions Able to sit, stand, bend, and lift to 50 lbs. regularly Reliable, hardworking, and have a team player mentality
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
