Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Vehicle Dismantler, where you will play a vital role in the efficient and safe disassembly of vehicles for parts salvage and recycling. Responsibilities Safely dismantle vehicles using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment, following established procedures. Remove and catalog automotive parts, including tires, engines, transmissions, and body panels for resale or recycling. Conduct vehicle inspections to identify salvageable parts and assess overall condition. Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot systems and perform basic repairs during disassembly. Maintain an organized workspace by properly storing removed parts and disposing of waste materials responsibly. Assist with auto estimating to determine the value of salvageable components. Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations throughout the dismantling process. Requirements Prior experience operating standard passenger cars and familiarity with mechanical systems. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair or auto restoration. Proficiency in automotive tire change, vehicle maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and automotive electrical systems safely and effectively. Knowledge of automotive parts, accessories, auto body repair, and auto estimating processes. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding conditions regularly. Excellent customer service skills when interacting with team members or external partners. Mechanic experience or automotive service background is highly desirable.
