Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanic Parts Puller to join our dynamic semi truck salvage team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently retrieving and organizing semi truck parts and accessories to support our mechanics and service technicians. Your keen mechanical knowledge and familiarity with vehicle components will ensure smooth workflow, timely repairs, and exceptional customer service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your mechanical skills and attention to detail make a real difference. Responsibilities Accurately locate, retrieve, and organize parts, including those for passenger cars, trucks, and specialty vehicles, ensuring readiness for repair jobs Assist mechanics by pulling parts needed for vehicle maintenance, repair Use hand tools and power tools safely to disassemble or prepare parts for removal or installation Maintain inventory of parts and accessories, including tires, electrical systems components, and mechanical systems parts Support vehicle inspections by providing necessary parts for diagnostic procedures and repairs Ensure proper handling of heavy lifting tasks when moving large or bulky parts or assemblies Collaborate with team members to uphold safety standards and maintain a clean, organized workspace Experience Prior mechanic experience or familiarity with automotive repair processes is highly preferred Knowledge of automotive parts, accessories, and systems such as electrical systems, tires, and mechanical components Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and auto estimating software is advantageous Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a busy shop environment Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures including tire changes, system repairs, and inspections Excellent customer service skills to assist technicians and support overall shop operations Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering top-quality automotive service!
