Overview Join our dynamic salvage yard team as a Parts Puller Mechanic, where you'll play a vital role in efficiently sourcing and preparing vehicle parts for resale and repair. Your proactive approach will help keep operations running smoothly while providing excellent service to our internal teams and customers. Duties Safely disassemble vehicles using hand tools, power tools, , and mechanical systems repair techniques to extract usable parts. Identify, catalog, and organize vehicle parts according to schematics and inventory systems for easy retrieval. Conduct manual handling of vehicle components, ensuring proper lifting techniques to prevent injury. Use automotive electrical systems knowledge and ohmmeters to test electrical components for functionality. Follow safety regulations diligently during all disassembly and handling procedures to maintain a secure work environment. Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks and repairs as needed, including diesel mechanics and automotive service work. Maintain accurate records of parts pulled, repairs performed, and safety checks completed for accountability and quality control. Experience Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance, repair, or automotive service roles. Familiarity with schematics, mechanical systems repair, automotive electrical systems, and the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and ohmmeters. Experience working with maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) procedures in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of safety regulations related to mechanical work, manual handling, welding, and power tool use. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and internal clients. Prior experience in diesel mechanics or automotive electrical systems is highly desirable. Ability to interpret technical diagrams and schematics accurately while adhering to safety protocols.
