Job Summary:
Designs, fabricates, joins, and repairs equipment, fixtures, and structures by using various welding techniques.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for field welding to include line boring services (where applicable) Designs, fabricates, joins, and/or repairs equipment, fixtures and various types of metal objects and structures utilizing oxygen-acetylene, electric arc, MIG and TIG welding techniques Operates drill presses, power saws, grinders, metal lathes and a variety of welding equipment and hand tools Analyzes plans, drawings, work samples, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements and sequence of welding projects Estimates material and labor Recommends supplies and materials to be ordered Other functions and responsibilities as requested by management
Education/Experience/Skill:
Must have prior welding experience Knowledge of applicable codes Proficient in welding techniques (oxygen-acetylene, electric car, and TIG), tools and equipment Skilled in the fabrication, joining and repair of a variety of metal objects, equipment, fixtures and structures Must have LINE boring experience

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
