Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs Provide detailed explanations of recommended repairs and maintenance services, including oil changes, brake repairs, transmission work, suspension, tire service, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and more Use estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools to prepare accurate repair estimates Upsell additional services or parts that enhance vehicle safety and performance while ensuring customer satisfaction Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, track progress, and communicate updates to customers throughout the service process Handle cash transactions, process payments accurately, and manage service writing documentation Maintain thorough records of all customer interactions, estimates, work orders, and repair details Skills Proven experience as an automotive service advisor or in a similar auto service management role with dealership experience preferred Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on mechanic experience highly valued Familiarity with automotive diagnostics and estimating software tools used in collision repair and general automotive repair Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and transparency with clients Knowledge of automotive systems such as transmissions, shocks & struts, brake systems, oil changes, tire services, diesel engines, air brakes, suspension components, etc. Experience with auto estimating and service writing processes in a dealership or repair shop environment Basic driving skills required for test drives or vehicle inspections; valid driver's license necessary Cash handling experience combined with strong organizational skills for managing multiple customer accounts simultaneously This role offers a vibrant work environment where your automotive expertise fuels both customer satisfaction and business success.
