Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our fast-paced dealership team. In this role, you will serve as the vital link between customers and our service technicians, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for every client. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and excellent communication skills will drive customer satisfaction and loyalty. You will manage service appointments, prepare accurate estimates using estimating software, and upsell additional services to optimize vehicle performance and safety. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly, listen to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document service needs. Prepare detailed repair estimates utilizing automotive estimating software and communicate options clearly to clients. Recommend additional services such as oil changes, tire service, brake repair, suspension work, or transmission repairs to enhance vehicle longevity and safety. Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of services. Upsell appropriate maintenance or repair services based on vehicle diagnostics and customer needs while maintaining transparency. Manage customer communication throughout the service process, providing updates and explaining repair procedures in an understandable manner. Handle cash transactions, process invoices, and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete for each service visit. Experience Proven experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or in a similar auto service management role within a dealership or independent repair shop. Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics, collision repair, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and other key automotive systems. Experience using estimating software such as Mitchell or CCC ONE for accurate job costing and service writing. Demonstrated ability in upselling services while maintaining integrity and customer trust. Excellent client communication skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service. Knowledge of auto estimating procedures and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools is preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to drive various vehicle types including trucks with air brakes or diesel engines is advantageous.
