$30-$35 per hour, based on experience Job Summary DC Garage is looking for an experienced Automotive Technician to join our team in Petersburg, Tennessee. We offer a large, well-equipped shop with lifts and tools provided , along with company uniforms . We're looking for a skilled, dependable technician who can confidently diagnose and repair a variety of vehicles and takes pride in doing quality work. You'll be responsible for diagnosing mechanical and electrical concerns, completing repairs and maintenance, and ensuring vehicles leave the shop safe and operating properly. We work on a variety of makes and models, so strong overall automotive knowledge and troubleshooting ability are important. Perform engine, transmission, drivetrain, suspension, steering, and brake repairs. Complete routine maintenance and service, including oil changes, filters, shocks and struts, tires, and other wear items. Diagnose and repair automotive electrical and electronic systems. Perform wheel alignments and suspension-related repairs. Properly use hand tools, power tools, shop equipment, and diagnostic equipment. Inspect vehicles and accurately identify needed repairs and safety concerns. Document diagnostic findings, repairs performed, and parts or additional services needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Communicate effectively with other team members regarding vehicle concerns and repair needs. Qualifications Previous professional automotive repair experience required. Strong knowledge of modern automotive mechanical and electrical systems. Solid diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities. Experience with engines, transmissions, drivetrain components, suspension, steering, and braking systems. Comfortable using professional scan tools, diagnostic equipment, wiring diagrams, hand tools, and power tools. Ability to accurately inspect vehicles and identify mechanical and safety concerns. Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to complete repairs efficiently without sacrificing quality. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with European vehicles, diesel engines, ADAS systems, welding, alignments, or advanced electrical diagnostics is a plus.
