Job Description
Charles Bailey Trucking, INC is looking to add a self-motivated, hard-working Trailer Mechanic Technician to our growing team. Applicants must be reliable, hardworking, and willing to work in other areas as needed. Job duties include but are not limited to: Responsibilities
- A trailer mechanic inspects, maintains, and repairs large tractor-trailers.
- Work on a variety of trailers such as dry vans and reefers.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues
- Ensure vehicles are roadworthy by performing basic care and maintenance, such as changing oil, checking fluid levels, brake systems, tires, lights, wheel end, chassis, and suspension repairs
- Repair refrigerated units
- Replace parts Skills and qualifications
- Ability to move, lift 50+ pounds working in close quarters. Stand for long periods of time and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Strong knowledge of trailer systems, including brakes, suspension, and electrical systems
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues quickly and efficiently
- Experience preferred with welding and fabrication
- Communicate effectively with drivers and colleagues to ensure seamless operations
- The Trailer Mechanic Technician position is responsible for maintaining the integrity of our fleet trailers by performing repairs and routine maintenance tasks ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet.
- Always put the safety and satisfaction of our drivers first and comply with company safety policies & procedures.
