Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components. Conduct oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle maintenance to ensure optimal performance. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to execute repairs efficiently. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems on a variety of vehicles including GM models and heavy equipment. Perform ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations and air brake system repairs with precision. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring vehicle safety standards are met or exceeded. Requirements Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, suspension systems, and powertrain components. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics software and schematics interpretation. Hands-on experience with diesel mechanics, heavy equipment mechanics, or automotive electrical systems is highly desirable. Ability to work with various hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of automotive estimating processes and auto repair procedures is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in mechanical systems repair and vehicle maintenance tasks. Strong communication skills coupled with a customer-focused attitude to ensure quality service delivery.
