This role is responsible for identifying mechanical and electrical issues, completing repairs accurately and efficiently, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. Essential Functions Troubleshoot and diagnose trailer repair needs based on customer concerns and inspections. Provide repair recommendations and assist with preparing estimates. Perform preventative maintenance and routine service on brakes, tires, bearings, suspension, lighting, wiring, couplers, jacks, and related trailer systems. Install accessories, upgrades, and modifications on new and used trailers. Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and applicable safety standards. Communicate repair status and recommendations to customers in a professional manner. Complete work orders accurately and maintain service records. Test trailers and repairs as needed to verify proper operation and quality of workmanship. Follow all company safety policies and OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations. Receive, unload, and organize trailer and parts deliveries. Assemble, inspect, test, and prepare new trailer inventory for sale. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Assist other technicians and departments as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned. Working Conditions Ability to work flexible schedules, including occasional weekends and overtime as business needs require. Regular work performed outdoors in varying weather conditions. Frequent bending, lifting, kneeling, standing, and working around trailers and equipment. Ability to safely lift and move equipment, parts, and materials. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required. Mechanical repair experience required; trailer service and repair experience preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment. Welding and fabrication experience is preferred. Ability to read and understand repair instructions, service documentation, and technical information. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
