In this vital role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of trailers to ensure safety, reliability, and optimal performance. Your expertise will help keep our fleet running smoothly and efficiently, supporting our commitment to excellent service delivery. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive inspections of trailers, including brakes, suspensions, axles, electrical systems, hydraulics, and structural components. Diagnose and repair trailer components Major Repairs on trailers, including Floor, Door, Side Panel Repair, and Frame and Cross-Member Repair. Repair or replace damaged or worn parts such as shocks & struts, air brakes, tires, and hydraulic components. Conduct preventive maintenance tasks including lubrication, tire service, and equipment maintenance to extend vehicle lifespan. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized machinery to execute repairs accurately and safely. Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and inspection reports to ensure compliance with safety standards. Qualifications Work is considered heavy physical work requiring exertion of 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently and up to 20 pounds of force consistently to move objects Must possess strength, stamina and mobility to perform heavy physical work Must be able to: walk, lift, reach, stoop, stand, grasp, balance, climb, kneel and crouch for extended periods of time Proven mechanic experience with trailer maintenance in a dealership or industrial setting. Proven mechanic experience with trailer maintenance in a dealership or industrial setting. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex mechanical issues. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering for repairs and fabrication tasks. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong mechanical knowledge and attention to detail. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various environmental conditions safely. Must possess your own set of tools
