Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Truck Mechanic to join our dedicated maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and industrial equipment. Your expertise will ensure our fleet operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our mission to deliver exceptional logistics services.
Responsibilities Responsibilities and Duties:
Preventative maintenance on trailers and commercial trailers/trucks. Must be able to work on your own and be able to troubleshoot problems. Must have own hand tools. Truck and major tools supplied. Must have driver's license. We have a fleet of Freightliners, Volvos and Kenworths. Mechanic must have knowledge of working with engines and transmissions. Must know how to do tune-ups. Conduct Ministry safety inspections by government standards. Strong diagnostic ability of all electrical, braking, ABS system & landing gear assemblies. Electronic diagnostic, truck running repairs, minor engine and driveline repairs. Experience in fabrication/welding is an asset. Suspension system and wheel alignment. Wheel end and hubs assembly. Knowledge of garage safety policies and behaviors. Ability to lift heavy parts. Experience with all types of hand and air tools.
