Job description: Thermo King West is hiring a Journeyman Trailer Repair Technician for commercial and semi-trailer repairs, inspections, welding, and preventative maintenance at our El Paso shop. Steady full-time work with overtime available. Pay & Perks $25-$27/hr, DOE + overtime Full-time, long-term opportunity Monday-Friday or Monday-Thursday schedule 8-hour or 10-hour shifts Opportunities for career growth and advancement What You'll Do Repair and maintain commercial and semi-trailers Perform PM, BIT, and DOT inspections Diagnose and repair trailer electrical and lighting systems Inspect and repair air brake systems Replace suspension components, landing legs, S-cams, bushings, and slack adjusters Repair and maintain lift gates, including cables, cylinders, motors, pumps, and controls Perform axle alignments MIG weld steel, aluminum, and stainless steel Diagnose mechanical problems and accurately quote repair work Assist with training newer technicians What You Need 2+ years of trailer repair or trailer mechanic experience Experience with air brakes, trailer electrical systems, suspension, and mechanical repairs Strong MIG welding skills; experience with steel, aluminum, and stainless preferred Experience with DOT/BIT inspections Ability to use hand and power tools safely Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Able to work independently with minimal supervision Brake Mechanics Certificate is a plus Apply today with Thermo King West .
