We are specifically searching for someone who can confidently handle drivability and electrical repairs without supervision. While we would love to train someone who is eager to learn, our current workload requires us to bring on a technician who can step in and contribute immediately. Our ideal candidate would have a level of knowledge comparable to our owner, who has over 35 years of experience in the automotive industry. He has built his reputation on being able to work on just about anything that comes through the door. When he encounters something unfamiliar, he doesn't simply give up or throw parts at it - he researches it, studies the diagrams, finds the answer, and gets the job done. A strong background in European vehicle platforms, electrical systems, and advanced diagnostics would be a major plus. More than anything, we're looking for a problem solver. Someone who is confident in their abilities, takes pride in their work, knows how to diagnose before replacing parts, and isn't afraid of a difficult repair. That mindset is a huge part of what has made our shop successful, and we're looking for someone who shares it. Our shop hours are 8am to 5pm. This position is flag rate. We pay depending on your skill level. If your skill is comparable to or exceeds our owner, you get the top pay. If it is less than, we will evaluate. Experience Requirements Extensive knowledge of Domestic, Foreign, and European vehicle platforms Proven experience in the automotive repair industry, with a strong background in diagnostics, electrical systems, drivability, and mechanical repairs Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems, wiring diagrams, electrical testing, and fault diagnosis Experience diagnosing and repairing complex drivability issues Knowledge of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and related diagnostic procedures Knowledge of air brake systems Hands-on experience with automatic and manual transmission repair and powertrain components Proficiency with professional diagnostic scan tools and software for troubleshooting complex vehicle issues Strong mechanical knowledge of engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, shocks/struts, brake systems, and general maintenance Ability to efficiently and safely use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, and other shop equipment Ability to research, troubleshoot, and figure out unfamiliar problems rather than relying solely on parts replacement Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality standards

Pay:

$20.00 - $60.00 per hour
