Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Mechanic to join our team. As an Automotive Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in vehicles, including engines, transmissions, and brakes
- Conduct automotive electrical system repairs and installations
- Inspect vehicles to identify any potential issues or safety concerns
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and resolve problems
- Perform air brake system repairs and maintenance
- Weld and fabricate metal components as needed
- Conduct auto estimating for repair costs
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology advancements
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics and repair techniques
- Proficiency in working with automotive electrical systems
- Experience with air brake systems
- Welding skills for metal fabrication
- Familiarity with GM vehicles is a plus
- Ability to conduct accurate auto estimating for repair costs
- Solid mechanical knowledge of powertrain systems
