In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary point of contact between customers and our service department, ensuring a seamless experience from vehicle drop-off to pick-up. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and excellent communication skills will help you accurately assess customer needs, recommend necessary repairs, and provide transparent estimates. This energetic position offers the opportunity to utilize your sales skills, upselling abilities, and automotive repair knowledge to deliver exceptional service while contributing to the dealership's success. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and diagnostics using automotive estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools Prepare detailed service write-ups, estimates, and repair orders with clarity and accuracy Communicate effectively with customers about recommended services, repairs, and costs, ensuring transparency and trust Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, suspension work, shocks & struts, transmissions, air brake systems, and other automotive repairs Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of work Handle customer inquiries professionally via phone or in person while maintaining excellent client communication skills Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately during payment transactions Maintain detailed records of service activities, estimates, and customer interactions for reporting purposes Qualifications Proven experience as an automotive service advisor or in a similar auto service management role; dealership experience is highly preferred Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance procedures, and collision repair processes Proficiency with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust Experience with auto estimating systems such as Auto Service Management or similar platforms is a plus Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to drive various vehicle types comfortably Knowledge of automotive repair specialties including transmissions, oil changes, tire service, shocks & struts, brake repair, suspension systems, air brake systems, and oil changes is advantageous Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in service writing and documentation processes Join our team where your automotive expertise meets energetic customer engagement!
