Bailey Auto Plaza is seeking a highly skilled, dependable, and Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certified Automotive Technician to join our growing Service Department. The ideal candidate will possess strong diagnostic abilities, excellent mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to performing quality repairs while maintaining manufacturer standards. We are looking for a technician who takes pride in their workmanship, values teamwork, and consistently delivers exceptional service. Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair domestic and import vehicles accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform manufacturer-recommended maintenance and repair procedures.
  • Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections and document findings.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
  • Utilize OEM diagnostic software and scan tools.
  • Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and suspension.
  • Perform warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Conduct routine services such as oil changes, brake replacement, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements.
  • Maintain accurate repair orders, labor times, and documentation.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to customers and service advisors.
  • Follow all dealership, OSHA, and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area.
  • Stay current with automotive technology and participate in ongoing training and certification programs.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and exceptional customer service. Minimum Qualifications
  • Current ASE Certification (A1-A8 preferred)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional automotive repair experience (dealership experience preferred)
  • Ability to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues
  • Experience using factory diagnostic equipment and computerized repair systems
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and work in varying shop conditions Preferred Qualifications
  • ASE Master Technician Certification
  • Manufacturer certifications (Ford, GM, Chrysler, Toyota, Honda, etc.)
  • Hybrid and EV diagnostic experience
  • Advanced electrical diagnostic experience
  • State Inspection License (if applicable)
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
