Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs Write detailed repair orders using estimating software, accurately documenting vehicle issues and recommended repairs Communicate effectively with service technicians to relay customer concerns and gather diagnostic information Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, suspension work, and transmission diagnostics to enhance customer satisfaction and dealership revenue Provide clear explanations of repair estimates, costs, and timelines to customers, ensuring transparency and trust Manage cash handling procedures and process payments efficiently at vehicle pick-up Maintain thorough records of all service transactions, client interactions, and vehicle histories for future reference Experience Proven experience as a Service Writer or in a similar automotive service management role within a dealership or repair shop environment Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics, collision repair, transmissions, oil changes, air brakes, shocks & struts, tire services, brake repairs, and other automotive repairs Hands-on experience with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally Background in auto service sales or upselling techniques to maximize revenue opportunities Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to drive various vehicles safely Prior experience working with service technicians and understanding of automotive repair processes is highly desirable vehicle state inspection license is a plus Embark on a rewarding career where your automotive expertise meets your passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.
