Based on experience Sunview Logistics is hiring 2 full-time Tractor-Trailer Mechanics for our in-house fleet operation in Hutto, Texas. We operate a large fleet across California, Texas, and Nevada, and our Hutto location supports trucks moving through Texas as well as drivers needing repairs before returning to California. We are looking for experienced mechanics who can confidently diagnose problems, complete repairs, perform preventative maintenance, and help keep our trucks safe and on the road. What You'll Work On Our fleet includes: Peterbilt tractors Freightliner tractors Semi-trailers Automatic transmissions Responsibilities You may be responsible for: Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues Brake inspection and repair Tire repair and replacement Electrical diagnostics and repairs Engine diagnostics and repair DOT inspections Preventative maintenance General tractor and trailer repairs Identifying safety-related defects Troubleshooting breakdowns and urgent repair needs Preparing trucks for drivers returning to long-haul routes Because this is an active fleet operation, priorities may change depending on which trucks are in the yard and which units need immediate repair. What We're Looking For We are looking for mechanics who: Have experience working on heavy-duty tractors and trailers Can troubleshoot and diagnose problems independently Understand brake systems, tires, electrical systems, engines, and preventative maintenance Can perform quality repairs efficiently and safely Are dependable and comfortable working in an active fleet shop Preferred, But Not Required CDL ASE or other diesel/mechanical certifications DOT inspection experience or related certifications A CDL and certifications are considered a plus, but they are not required for this position.
