full-time Big 5 Tire and Auto is looking for a dependable, motivated Automotive Technician / Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate is experienced in automotive repair, takes pride in quality workmanship, and understands the importance of honest service and customer satisfaction. This position will perform a variety of automotive maintenance and repair services, as well as tire-related services. The technician will be expected to diagnose vehicle concerns accurately, complete repairs efficiently, and maintain a clean and safe work environment. Key Responsibilities Perform automotive inspections, maintenance, and repairs. Diagnose mechanical and electrical vehicle problems. Perform brake repairs and replacements. Perform oil changes and preventative maintenance. Replace and repair tires, including mounting, balancing, and tire rotations. Perform steering and suspension repairs. Perform battery testing and replacement. Perform wheel alignments when qualified. Inspect vehicles and identify additional maintenance or repair needs. Communicate vehicle concerns and recommended repairs to management or service advisors. Complete repairs according to company standards and manufacturer recommendations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Properly use and maintain shop equipment. Follow all safety procedures and company policies. Provide professional, dependable service to customers.
